Stepparent and Relative Adoption

Stepparent and relative adoptions involve filing a court petition and other legal documents with the court. These other documents may include consents and waivers from birth parents, certificates, and affidavits. Clear guidance is important to make sure the court record contains all required documents to ensure the process moves forward smoothly. We will also be by your side at the final hearing in front of judge to present the facts of the case and demonstrate compliance with Florida Statutes on adoption.

Adult Adoption

We also understand that family has no age limits, and support clients in adult adoption cases. We will prepare and file the proper petitions and send the required notices to the proper parties to ensure legal compliance. Unlike in child adoption cases, adult adoptions do not require the consent of the birth parents, however, certain requirements such as notice are still required under Florida law.

Your adoption journey may be a tough one, and an experienced Florida attorney is a necessity. Unlike stepparent or family adoption, private adoption is a longer and more complex process.
